Woolworths NetSetGO
Woolworths NetSetGO is Australia’s official starter program for kids aged 5 to 9. It’s a chance to learn the netball basics, get outside and make some friends. It’s a learning experience and a lot of fun.
Each participant will receive their very own pack which includes a netball and t-shirt, which can be personalised for a few extra dollars.
The program is divided up into three tiers: Net, Set and GO, and where you start depends on your age and netball experience.
How does Woolworths Netsetgo work?
Net
5 to 7 year olds
Net is for 5 to 6 year olds and teaches fundamental motor skills through activities and games.
Benkennie’s Net Skills program runs on Friday afternoons from May to August. Our program covers 2 years so our younger participants can continue to learn prior to commencing Saturday competition.
Set
7 to 8 year olds
Set is for 7 to 8 year olds and focuses on refining fundamental motor skills and introducing modified match play.
Players are divided into teams that train on Friday afternoons and play on Saturday mornings at the Narellan Sports hub. The season runs from late March til August. These games are not scored and there is no finals series. Teams participate in a season opening Gala Day in late March or early April.
Go!
9 year olds
Go is for 9 year olds and focuses on developing natural specific skills through modified match play.
Players are divided into teams that train on Friday afternoons and play on Saturday mornings at the Narellan Sports hub. The season runs from late March until August. These games are not scored and there is no finals series.
Teams participate in a season opening Gala Day in late March or early April.
Benkennie Netball Club is a registered Active Kids Provider
The Active Kids program is all about getting kids moving and having fun! As a Benkennie member, we’re pleased to let you know that we are a registered provider for this great program. If your child is enrolled in school, you can get two $100 vouchers to use towards sports and other activities.
